India and Pakistan’s embassies in the UAE issued statements following the death of two expats from the Asian countries in an incident in Abu Dhabi, offering their condolences to the bereaved families.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi announced earlier on Thursday, March 26, 2026, that two expats, one Indian and one Pakistani, were killed due to shrapnel falling following the successful interception of a missile.
The toll of fatalities in the UAE due to Iran attacks since February 28, 2026 now stands at 11, including two armed forces officers and one civilian contractor from Morocco.

Three other individuals sustained wounds in the Abu Dhabi incident, which took place in Sweihan Street, authorities confirmed, stating that they are an Emirati, a Jordanian and another Indian. Their injuries range from moderate to severe. In total, 169 individuals were wounded in the UAE since the start of Iranian assaults.
“The Embassy of India expresses its deepest condolences at the tragic demise of an Indian national due to falling debris in Abu Dhabi today. The Embassy is closely coordinating with the UAE authorities to render all possible support and assistance,” the Indian embassy said on X.
Pakistan’s embassy, too, expressed its deep sadness over “the tragic loss of Pakistani national in an incident involving falling debris in Sweihan Street, Abu Dhabi, today.”
“In this difficult time, we stand with the bereaved family, offering our heartfelt condolences and prayers. The Embassy is in close coordination with local authorities to extend all possible support and to facilitate the earliest repatriation of the deceased,” it added.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the attack, affirming Amman’s rejection and denunciation of these brutal attacks, describing them as a flagrant violation of UAE sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability.
The ministry stressed Jordan’s full solidarity with the UAE in confronting the Iranian attacks and its complete support for any measures the country takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
