Dubai authorities have launched ‘Itma’en’, a new mental wellness support line aimed at enhancing the quality of life across the emirate. The initiative translates to “Rest Assured,” providing a direct, confidential channel for anyone in Dubai citizens, residents, and visitors to access professional guidance and psychological support.

The service is a collaborative effort between Dubai Health, the Community Development Authority (CDA), and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), reflecting a unified government approach to prioritising mental wellbeing as a cornerstone of a healthy society.

Accessible free of charge to all, the Itma’en support line can be reached by calling the dedicated hotline 800506. The service connects callers with specialised counselors who offer confidential mental wellbeing support and professional guidance whenever it is needed.

The hotline operates daily from 9am until midnight, ensuring that help is always within reach regardless of the hour.

As part of the initiative, the CDA is inviting specialists in medicine, nursing, psychology, and social work to volunteer their expertise through the Dubai Now app.

Professionals who sign up will contribute to providing psychological first aid and strengthening Dubai’s growing community support network, bringing the spirit of the initiative full circle by building a city where residents look out for one another.

The launch underscores Dubai’s ongoing commitment to building a compassionate and inclusive city where the mental health of every individual, whether a long-term resident or a short-term visitor, is valued and supported in current situations.
