Ras Al Khaimah Police’s operations room received a total of 20,939 calls during the recent weather system that affected the country last week. Calls were answered within 10 seconds, with the safety of individuals prioritised above all, reflecting both professional and humanitarian duties.

Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Mansoori, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that the General Command managed all incoming calls during the heavy rainfall, which led to overflowing wadis and flash floods in several areas of the emirate.

The police focused on safeguarding public safety, protecting property, and ensuring smooth traffic flow across Ras Al Khaimah’s streets and roads.

He added that specialised teams in the Operations Room efficiently directed calls and inquiries to the relevant authorities within their jurisdictions, following up until each issue was fully addressed.

Brig. Al Mansoori emphasized the importance of joint coordination with strategic partners and all relevant authorities, which helped minimise the impact of the weather event and restore traffic to normal conditions.

The director also praised the public’s awareness, reflected in their adherence to instructions issued by the General Command and the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management team.

Their cooperation significantly minimised losses and damage during the weather event. Brig. Al Mansoori also expressed his gratitude to all authorities in the emirate, praising their round-the-clock efforts, describing them as working tirelessly like a busy beehive to manage the situation.

Ras Al Khaimah Police urged residents to call 999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergency inquiries, enabling authorities to respond effectively.
