New agreement supports Dubai’s digital transformation agenda through advanced virtual event platforms, workforce empowerment initiatives and AI-driven solutions

Dubai: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UAE-based Advantage Technology to enhance collaboration in developing innovative digital solutions and advancing virtual government services.

The agreement aims to support Dubai’s digital transformation strategy by establishing a dedicated platform for managing virtual events and activities, while also advancing workforce-focused programmes through a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model.

The MoU was signed by Colonel Omar Mattar Al Mazina, Assistant Director-General of the Labour Relations Regulation Sector at GDRFA Dubai, and Faisal Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zarooni, Owner of Advantage Technology.

Under the partnership, the two organisations will collaborate on the development of digital services and solutions, the exchange of expertise and best practices, and the launch of specialised initiatives designed to empower employees, enhance productivity and foster a culture of innovation and engagement.

The agreement also covers the organisation of virtual events and the development of supporting digital platforms aimed at improving institutional performance, enhancing government service delivery and promoting a more agile and sustainable operating model.

    Supporting future-ready government services

Colonel Al Mazina said strategic partnerships with the private sector play a vital role in strengthening government performance and accelerating innovation.

“Strategic partnerships with the private sector represent a fundamental pillar in advancing the government ecosystem, as they create opportunities for knowledge exchange and the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and strengthen future readiness,” he said.

He added that the partnership will support workforce-focused initiatives by empowering talent, improving communication and creating a more productive and sustainable workplace environment.

“This partnership also enables GDRFA Dubai to leverage advanced technologies in developing more integrated and agile digital solutions that support the implementation of institutional initiatives and keep pace with future requirements,” he said.

Focus on AI and emerging technologies

Advantage Technology specialises in developing innovative technology solutions and acts as an incubator for artificial intelligence and emerging technology projects.

The company focuses on transforming innovative concepts into scalable digital platforms and products that support digital transformation and create long-term value for both public and private sector organisations.

Faisal Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zarooni said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and technological advancement.

“We are proud to collaborate with the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai and look forward to leveraging our technical expertise to support the development of an advanced digital platform that aligns with the organisation’s aspirations,” he said.

He added that the collaboration would provide a reliable and flexible environment for managing virtual events while helping develop technology solutions that support Dubai’s vision for digital transformation and innovation.

The MoU forms part of GDRFA Dubai’s broader efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships, empower its workforce and adopt advanced technologies that enhance institutional performance and future readiness.
