As the world marks International Youth Day, Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, and INJAZ UAE, a member of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, are celebrating six years of collaboration in equipping young people across the UAE with the skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving economy.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, the collaboration reached 1,088 high school and university students across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman through 19 interactive workshops delivered across 12 educational institutions. Supported by FedEx employee volunteers, students gained practical knowledge in areas including resume building, interview preparation, financial literacy, entrepreneurship fundamentals, and marketing strategies, helping them prepare for higher education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

“At FedEx, we believe empowering youth with access to knowledge, mentorship, and real-world experiences plays a critical role in unlocking their potential”, said Taarek Hinedi, Vice President of Operations, Planning & Engineering at FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. “Through our collaboration with INJAZ UAE, our team members are sharing their knowledge and expertise to inspire students to think creatively, embrace new opportunities, and turn their ideas into action. On International Youth Day, we celebrate the ambition of the next generation and remain committed to supporting young innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders who will shape the communities and economies of tomorrow”.

“Preparing young people for the future requires more than classroom learning—it requires meaningful exposure to industry and real-world experiences. Our collaboration with FedEx demonstrates the power of working together to bridge education and employment, equipping students with the entrepreneurial, financial, and workplace skills they need to succeed”, added Razan Bashiti, Chief Executive Officer at INJAZ UAE.

The collaboration between FedEx and INJAZ UAE supports the UAE’s broader priorities under the UAE National Employment Strategy 2031 and the UAE National Youth Agenda 2031, which focus on developing a skilled, innovative, and competitive workforce. By connecting students with industry professionals and providing learning experiences, FedEx and INJAZ UAE continue to help young people build the capabilities needed to pursue opportunities and contribute to the UAE’s knowledge-based economy.

The importance of developing adaptable skills early is underscored by the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, which estimates that nearly 40% of core job skills will change by 2030[1], reinforcing the need for continuous learning, innovation, and workplace readiness.
