Emirates will operate two daily A380 flights on the Dubai-Bali route from March 2027, boosting capacity and connectivity as the airline is set to account for 64% of global A380 operations in 2026

Emirates will increase the operation of its A380 aircraft on the Dubai-Bali route, deploying two daily flights to Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport from 28 March 2027, reflecting continued strong demand for travel between Dubai and the Indonesian tourist destination.

The increase comes as Emirates continues to expand its A380 network. According to updated flight schedules, the airline is expected to account for 64 per cent of all scheduled A380 flights globally in 2026, reinforcing its position as the world’s largest A380 operator. Emirates operates a fleet of 116 A380s serving 53 destinations from Dubai International Airport.

The 569-seat A380 will increase capacity on the Dubai-Bali route and enhance the airline’s ability to meet demand from key transit markets, particularly in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Booking data for the 12 months ending in July 2026 showed that more than 530,000 passengers travelled through Dubai International Airport to Bali using the Emirates network.

Travel to and from Europe accounted for more than three-quarters of the total, followed by the Middle East with 9 per cent, North America with 7 per cent and Africa with 6 per cent.

    Transit markets

London was the largest transit market for Bali via Dubai, with Emirates carrying about one-fifth of passengers travelling between the two destinations. Other key markets included Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow, Warsaw, Manchester, Düsseldorf, Jeddah, Istanbul, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich and Copenhagen.

From March 2027, both daily Emirates services between Dubai and Bali will be operated by the 569-seat A380, increasing capacity on the route and strengthening connectivity across the airline’s global network. This will make Bali one of the destinations exclusively served by the A380 within the Emirates network.

Emirates launched services to Bali in June 2015 using the Boeing 777-300ER before introducing the A380 on the route in June 2023.

The expansion underscores Bali’s importance within Emirates’ Southeast Asian network and strengthens the airline’s ability to connect Indonesia with key markets across Europe, the Middle East and North America through its Dubai hub.
