Jaywan card payments are available through the website, smart application and all “Tahseel” service centres, enabling customers to complete their payments through multiple channels.
Sharjah: As part of its ongoing efforts to advance its digital financial infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of the government payment ecosystem, Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) continues to develop its “Tahseel” system and expand the payment options available across its various channels.
These efforts aim to provide customers with a more integrated, flexible and secure experience, while keeping pace with their evolving needs and expectations for digital government services.
SFD has enabled the use of the Jaywan card, the UAE’s national payment card, across all “Tahseel” channels. This step further diversifies the payment solutions available within the ecosystem and supports the Department’s efforts to provide a more seamless government payment experience, allowing customers to select the payment method and channel that best suit their needs.
The introduction of Jaywan is part of SFD’s approach to developing an interconnected payment ecosystem that combines operational efficiency, greater choice, ease of access and transaction security, helping simplify the customer journey and enhance the quality of government financial services.
Jaywan card payments are available through the website, smart application and all “Tahseel” service centres, enabling customers to complete their payments through multiple channels according to their needs, whether remotely or in person, within a unified and reliable experience.
The “Tahseel” system recorded more than 558 transactions using Jaywan cards during the first half of 2026, following the first transaction completed using the card on 20 September 2025, reflecting customers’ utilisation of the diverse payment options available through the system.
Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at Sharjah Finance Department, said: “At Sharjah Finance Department, we are continuously developing ‘Tahseel’ as a core component of the government’s digital financial infrastructure, strengthening the integration of payment channels, enhancing the efficiency of collection processes, and providing customers with a more flexible and seamless experience.
Enabling Jaywan cards across the system’s various channels is not simply the addition of another payment option; it is a step that strengthens the diversity of national payment solutions and enhances our ability to provide an integrated and secure payment experience that meets the needs of different customer segments.”
She added: “Our approach is centred on continuously enhancing the system’s capabilities, expanding its payment options, and leveraging digital solutions to simplify the payment journey and improve operational efficiency. This contributes to enhancing the quality of government financial services and their ability to respond to evolving needs.
We aim for ‘Tahseel’ to continue evolving as a flexible and integrated ecosystem that combines operational efficiency, ease of use and transaction security, while supporting Sharjah’s digital transformation journey.”
Enabling Jaywan cards through “Tahseel” adds another option to the range of payment methods available to customers. As the UAE’s national payment card, Jaywan supports the adoption of national solutions in enhancing the payment experience and provides customers with greater choice when completing government transactions through digital channels and service centres.
