The NCM forecasts low-40s temperatures across the UAE today, with mist and reduced visibility expected along the coast and inland by Sunday morning

Dubai: Warm mornings, humid nights, and a chance of fog along the coast – are you ready for a typical summer weekend?

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy in the UAE, with a probability of some convective cloud formation eastward and southward by the afternoon.

    Humidity on the rise

Relative humidity (RH) is on the rise today, peaking at 90% in coastal and island areas, and at 85% in internal and mountainous regions of the country.

The NCM cautions an increase in humidity by nighttime, and a high chance of fog or mist formation on Sunday morning, especially in coastal areas like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as internal areas. Be careful when driving or walking outdoors in such conditions, as visibility may drop significantly.

    Low-40s temperatures ahead

The mercury is holding steady in the low-40s across the UAE this weekend.

According to the NCM, coastal and island regions will experience highs between 39°C and 44°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 43°C to 47°C today.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah will reach 42°C today, while Sharjah and Ajman will see a high of 41°C. Fujairah will peak at 35°C.

    Moderate sea conditions

The NCM forecasts light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.

Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to move from slight to moderate conditions today. This means you can expect wave heights to reach up to two feet on-shore and up to four feet off-shore.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:

Maximum Temp (°C) Minimum Temp (°C)

    Dubai 42°C 29°C

    Abu Dhabi 42°C 30°C

    Al Ain 45°C 30°C

    Sharjah 41°C 29°C

    Ajman 41°C 29°C

    Fujairah 35°C 30°C

    Ras Al Khaimah 42°C 28°C
