Arab resident recognised for returning large sum of money to police after finding it in Sharjah
The honour was presented in the presence of Colonel Humaid Saeed bin Sahou, Director of the Commercial Areas Police Department, in appreciation of the resident’s conduct after he immediately handed the money over to a police station to safeguard the rights of its owner.
Sharjah: Sharjah Police have honoured an Arab resident in recognition of his honesty after he found and handed over Dh85,000 that he discovered in one of the emirate’s areas.
The honour was presented in the presence of Colonel Humaid Saeed bin Sahou, Director of the Commercial Areas Police Department, in appreciation of the resident’s conduct after he immediately handed the money over to a police station to safeguard the rights of its owner.
Colonel bin Sahou praised the resident’s actions, describing honesty and social responsibility as core values that help strengthen trust and social cohesion within the community.
He also commended the resident’s cooperation with the police and said his behaviour reflected a high level of awareness and responsibility.
Sharjah Police reaffirmed their commitment to recognising positive community role models and encouraging members of the public to hand over lost property to the relevant authorities in order to protect rights and support public safety and security.
The resident expressed his appreciation to Sharjah Police for the recognition, saying his actions stemmed from his moral and social responsibility.
