Dubai: Dubai Police have added two new services to their ‘On the Go’ initiative, enabling customers to report lost belongings and obtain permits to change their vehicle’s colour at participating petrol stations across the emirate.

The expansion brings the initiative’s total offering to 10 services available at 167 petrol stations, reducing the need for customers to visit police stations for routine transactions.

The new services, Lost Item Report and Vehicle Colour Change Permit, are being offered in partnership with the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat).

    Two new services

The Lost Item Report service allows customers to report missing belongings and obtain an official certificate for submission to the relevant authorities when required.

The Vehicle Colour Change Permit service enables owners of vehicles registered in Dubai to obtain official approval before changing their vehicle’s colour.

    Expanding access to police services

Captain Majid bin Saed Al Kaabi, Head of the ‘On the Go’ Initiative Team, said the expansion reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to developing innovative and proactive services that meet community expectations.

He said the latest additions mark another step towards improving service efficiency and accelerating transactions.

Al Kaabi highlighted the role of strategic partnerships with fuel retailers in the development of the initiative, describing ‘On the Go’ as a leading model for delivering police services outside traditional service centres.

He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to introducing additional services that enhance customer satisfaction and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global leader in government service quality.

    1,823 petrol station employees trained

Captain Al Kaabi noted that ‘On the Go’ is an officially approved Dubai Police service channel aligned with the Services 360 policy.

To support its implementation, 1,823 petrol station employees have been trained to deliver services to the public in accordance with approved standards.

    From five stations to 167

The initiative has expanded through six development phases since its launch in partnership with Dubai’s fuel retailers.

The first phase introduced police services at five petrol stations, followed by an expansion to 10 stations in the second phase.

The third phase introduced the Lost and Found service, while the fourth added eCrime and Police Eye, providing additional channels for reporting cybercrime and suspicious activities.

The fifth phase expanded the initiative to include People of Determination Services and Labour Complaints.

The sixth and latest phase introduces the Lost Item Report and Vehicle Colour Change Permit services, bringing the initiative’s reach to 167 petrol stations.

Through these partnerships, Dubai Police aim to simplify access to essential services, reduce unnecessary visits to police stations, and make government transactions more convenient for everyone.
