Dubai: For the first time in weeks, you might step out and realise you’re not immediately perspiring from high humidity – cooler days are here.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a chance of convective cloud formation northward and eastward, which may extend over some internal areas. These clouds are associated with rainfall.

Yesterday, the NCM demonstrated changing weather conditions around Kalba and Masafi, with hail falling in Wadi Shees in Khor Fakkan, and Wadi Al Helo in Sharjah. These areas can expect convective cloud cover again today, with a high chance of rainfall and hail.

    Low-30s temperatures

Meanwhile, temperatures are becoming cooler and more pleasant, across the UAE.

Relative humidity (RH) is dropping considerably today, peaking at 70% in Dubai and 60% in Sharjah, which means you can expect a more comfortable experience if you’re spending time outdoors.

Today, Dubai and Sharjah will reach a high of 37°C, while Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah will peak at 36°C. Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain will experience 35°C temperatures, and Fujairah will remain the coolest emirate, at 30°C.

    Moderate sea conditions

Light to moderate winds, averaging speeds of 10 to 25km/h, will reach up to 35km/h along coastal and island areas, and up to 45km/h in internal areas. Be cautious when you’re in open or exposed areas, as gusts might stir up dust.

The NCM forecasts slight sea conditions in both eastern and western regions, with wave heights reaching up to two feet on-shore, and up to three feet off-shore in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:

Maximum Temp (°C) Minimum Temp (°C)

    Dubai 37°C 27°C

    Abu Dhabi 35°C 25°C

    Al Ain 35°C 25°C

    Sharjah 37°C 24°C

    Ajman 36°C 27°C

    Fujairah 30°C 26°C

    Ras Al Khaimah 36°C 22°C

    Umm Al Quwain 35°C 22°C

    Liwa 36°C 22°C
