Dubai: Living on the east coast of the UAE? You might see rain all weekend long, thanks to convective clouds forming in the region, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The NCM forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a chance of some convective cloud formation eastward and northward by afternoon, associated with rainfall.

Convective clouds, which tend to bring rain, are expected to develop in areas like Fujairah and Kalba on Saturday and Sunday as well, which means you can expect scattered rainfall in these areas over the weekend.

    Humidity spike

Meanwhile, temperatures remain in the mid- to low-30s, with humidity still high, peaking at 90% in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah will reach a high of 36°C today, while Dubai and Sharjah will peak at 35°C. Umm Al Quwain will reach 33°C, while Ajman and Fujairah will remain the coolest emirates at 32°C.

    Slight sea conditions

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times and reaching up to 40km/h in internal areas, may cause blowing dust, according to the NCM.

The authorities expect sea conditions to remain slight along both eastern and western coasts. This means you can expect gentle waves, reaching up to two feet on-shore, and up to three feet off-shore along both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:

Maximum Temp (°C) Minimum Temp (°C)

    Dubai 35°C 27°C

    Abu Dhabi 36°C 25°C

    Al Ain 36°C 23°C

    Sharjah 35°C 24°C

    Ajman 32°C 26°C

    Fujairah 32°C 26°C

    Ras Al Khaimah 36°C 23°C

    Umm Al Quwain 33°C 23°C

    Liwa 39°C 22°C
