Dubai: Al Habtoor Group has announced that its Board of Directors has decided to proceed with the sale of all the Group’s assets and investments in Lebanon, including hotels, commercial and residential properties, land and all other assets it owns in the country.

The decision follows the Group’s announcement on 28 January 2026 that it would cease operations in Lebanon and marks a new phase in a comprehensive strategic review of its investment portfolio and long-term business priorities.

Following careful consideration and a thorough evaluation, the Board concluded that a complete divestment of the Group’s assets and investments in Lebanon is the most appropriate option at this time. The decision is consistent with its commitment to responsible investment management, sound capital allocation and the protection of its interests.

The Group intends to conduct the divestment process in an orderly manner, based on sound commercial and investment principles. Each asset will be evaluated independently, with decisions regarding its sale made in accordance with market conditions and fair valuations that reflect its investment value.

Since establishing its investment presence in Lebanon in the late 1990s, Al Habtoor Group has made significant investments in the hospitality, real estate, entertainment and other sectors, contributing to the development of tourism infrastructure, stimulating economic activity and creating employment opportunities.

For more than two decades, the Group has maintained its commitment to Lebanon despite successive economic crises and political upheavals. It continued to invest in its facilities and preserve its assets despite the considerable challenges it faced over the years.

The Board’s decision reflects a considered strategic direction to realign the Group’s investment priorities and focus its resources on markets offering greater long-term stability, a clearer investment environment and opportunities for sustainable growth.

Al Habtoor Group reaffirms its commitment to its international investment strategy and to exploring promising opportunities that align with its objectives and future aspirations.

The Group will announce further details regarding the asset sale process in due course.
