ABU DHABI, 13th March, 2026 (WAM) — The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) has warned of the growing threat posed by “wiper malware,” which can target individuals and organisations by deleting or damaging data and disrupting systems and services. The council said that such attacks could affect daily digital use, business continuity and operational processes, particularly where preparedness is weak or preventive measures are lacking. Tenancy contracts in shared accommodation will need to be officially recorded in a government registry under Dubai’s new housing law, lawyers have said. The law regulating shared housing in the emirate was recently issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. WASHINGTON, 22nd February, 2026 (WAM) — SpaceX has launched 53 satellites into orbit as part of its expanding Starlink constellation, executing two separate missions that further demonstrate the company’s advancing capabilities in space logistics and rocket reusability. SpaceX launched two more batches of Starlink satellites on Saturday, and in the process set a new rocket reuse record. The 53 new Starlink satellites added to SpaceX’s megaconstellation of more than 9700 active broadband internet relay units. The dual missions marked the 21st and 22nd Falcon 9 launches of the year.
