According to a recent report from Dell’Oro Group, Cisco enjoyed a market lead for indoor Wi‑Fi 7 access point (AP) revenue share in 2025.

Research Director Sian Morgan attributed Cisco’s lead to its aggressive pricing and faster‑than‑expected enterprise adoption of Wi‑Fi 7 technology, which she stated is growing faster than any of the company’s previous WLAN generations.

“But there is still a long adoption runway ahead and we expect Wi-Fi 7 revenue to keep growing across the market in 2026,” Morgan stated. Morgan told Mobile World Live revenue for indoor Wi-Fi 7 APs was nearly $2 billion in 2025.

Dell’Oro forecasts double‑digit WLAN revenue growth in 2026, fuelled by enterprise refresh cycles and increasing adoption of cloud‑managed networking. However, the research company warned AI‑driven demand for DDR4 memory is causing component shortages.

Morgan stated DDR4 is required for most modern WLAN APs, and noted tightening supply could raise prices and extend equipment lead times.

Dell’Oro found public cloud‑managed WLAN grew faster than the broader market in 2025, particularly among large enterprises and service providers. Financial and professional services remained the largest WLAN vertical, with large enterprise deployments fuelling double‑digit growth.
