The group expands infrastructure, ports and supply chain capabilities while revenue from the region grows to AED30.5 billion

Dubai: DP World invested approximately AED4 billion (US$1.1 billion) across the Middle East, Europe and Africa during the first half of the year, as the group continued to expand its logistics infrastructure, ports and supply chain operations.

According to a document, the investments were aimed at expanding operational capabilities and developing infrastructure across key markets in the region.

The group’s operations in the Middle East, Europe and Africa recorded 7.9 per cent revenue growth, reaching approximately AED30.5 billion (US$8.3 billion). On a like-for-like basis, revenue increased by 1.3 per cent.

Investment spending was concentrated on several strategic projects and facilities, including Jebel Ali Port and Dubai Maritime City in the UAE, London Gateway in the UK, projects in Dakar, Senegal, and Banana Port in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as DP World Logistics Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

The investments reflect DP World’s strategy of strengthening integration between ports, economic zones and logistics services, enhancing its ability to manage cargo movements across multiple stages of the supply chain rather than relying solely on port operations.

The group’s focus on these markets comes as the logistics sector undergoes rapid transformation, driven by growing demand for integrated solutions that connect ports, economic zones, distribution centres and end markets.

The performance also reflects DP World’s strategy of diversifying growth sources and expanding integrated logistics services. The company has continued to direct investment towards key locations along global trade routes, enabling it to capitalise on trade growth and offer services ranging from ports and economic zones to warehousing, transport and distribution.
