Dubai: Dubai Municipality has launched an innovative artificial intelligence-powered system that fully automates the building permit issuance process, marking a major step forward in the emirate’s digital transformation journey.
The new platform enables building permits to be issued directly and without human intervention by automatically reading submitted plans and documents and verifying their compliance with the Dubai Building Code, as well as technical and engineering requirements.
Dubai Municipality said the project strengthens Dubai’s position as a global leader in adopting smart government solutions while enhancing the efficiency, speed and accuracy of permit services.
The fully integrated digital system represents a significant advancement in the development of building permit procedures, offering customers a faster and more streamlined experience.
One of the platform’s key features is the ability to conduct a preliminary review of building designs before formal submission, allowing applicants to identify and address potential issues at an early stage.
The system also provides immediate decisions on permit applications, significantly reducing processing times from several days to just minutes.
In cases where applications require additional information or modifications, applicants receive instant feedback and clear guidance on the actions needed to complete the approval process.
