Dubai: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, said UAE Flag Day is a special occasion to celebrate a nation that has made a lasting contribution to humanity.

Her Highness expressed pride in the enduring national values embodied by the occasion and the collective determination that has made ambition an integral part of the UAE’s national identity and its achievements a source of inspiration to the world.

Her Highness emphasised that the values upon which the Union was founded remain the cornerstone of the UAE’s inspiring journey of development. Guided by the leadership and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the support and guidance of Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, the UAE continues to advance towards an ambitious future.

Her Highness said: “Flag Day tells the story of a nation that draws its strength from unity, its determination from the bonds that unite its people and its vision from the wisdom of its leadership. These values have made excellence a way of life and opened new horizons of achievement.

“The UAE flag will always fly high as a source of pride and a symbol of our nation’s remarkable journey. We carry the legacy of our Founding Fathers as a responsibility entrusted to us, with their values serving as a compass guiding our nation towards new heights of development. It is a journey that has redefined ambition, expanded the boundaries of what is possible and inspired the world through the UAE’s unique example.”

Her Highness added: “Under the UAE flag, our hearts and aspirations unite, shaping a shared story of achievement that is passed down with pride from one generation to the next. This spirit of unity has enabled our Emirati culture to flourish, drawing strength from its rich heritage and inspiration from its openness to the world, while empowering each generation to create and contribute.”
