LG Uplus improves access to AWS cloud

LG Uplus recently improved the provision of AWS cloud services for public sector groups. This update was achieved by incorporating the set-up in its network and existing access systems.

The operator stated the move provides access to an AWS cloud infrastructure brokerage through its existing support set-up for public sector organisations, meaning it can offer direct help in deploying tailored services.

LG Uplus explained the approach can help customers deploy chatbots, generative AI services and search functions, and establish statistical and administrative databases.

The operator believes such a system is crucial due to a surge in digital transformation projects.

“LG Uplus will establish itself as a key AX partner supporting cloud-native adoption in public institutions”, SVP and head of the Corporate AI Business Jeong Young-hoon said.

The AX goal involves longer-term ambitions to expand the suite of digital transformation services LG Uplus offers, again based on the capabilities of its network.

It envisages providing networks configured for the early stages of cloud use by public sector groups, along with ongoing aid in running services.

LG Uplus stated its current support set-up for the sector provides assistance in accessing government-approved infrastructure and software-as-a-service, and cloud systems.
