Samsung Electronics is continuing to integrate new and advanced AI features in its smartphone range. Lately the company unveiled the latest additions to its mid-tier A Series sporting enhanced capabilities using the technology.

Announcing the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, Samsung noted the devices deliver its latest innovations to a greater number of users worldwide, asserting the intuitive AI being provided would simplify everyday tasks.

The higher end of the two is the A57, which Samsung promoted as the “most powerful Galaxy A series device yet” given its AI features and slim design.

It noted both smartphones upgraded overall camera and display performance compared to their equivalent previous models.

Among the AI-enhanced applications on the devices are a voice transcription app with the ability to more easily extract sections of text and create related content without having to use manual selection. Samsung also highlighted photo and video editing improvements.

Samsung co-CEO and president, and head of its Device eXperience Division TM Roh said the upgraded series “reflects our continued commitment to AI democratisation by bringing the latest innovations to more Galaxy users”, adding the smartphones would “deliver reliable everyday performance to users around the world and drive rapid AI expansion”.

Both devices have a 6.7-inch screen, 50MP camera and 5000mAh battery. The A57 is lighter and slightly smaller with an improved ultra-wide lens than the A37. It is also offered with higher memory options and various other upgrades.

The A57 starts at £529, while the A37 is £399 for the lowest memory option.

Both devices go on sale in early April in selected markets.

In some countries, Samsung is also offering an Enterprise Edition of each device, including an extra generation of OS updates, enhanced warranty and a year of its enterprise software package.
