Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said Dubai welcomed around seven million tourists during the first eight months of 2026 and recorded 21 million hotel room bookings over the same period.

The remarks came during his visit to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 exhibition, which is being held with the participation of 80 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed said tourism authorities, airlines, global hospitality brands and technology companies had gathered in Dubai to discuss the future of global tourism.

“Dubai welcomed around 7 million tourists in the first eight months of the year and recorded 21 million hotel room bookings during the same period,” Sheikh Mohammed said on X.

He added that the UAE will continue working to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.

“We welcome everyone to our country and promise everyone that we will continue our efforts to establish our country as one of the best and most prestigious global tourist destinations, with its generosity, diversity and vitality,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
