Ministry of Climate Change and Environment confirms affected products linked to US recall are not available locally

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) has confirmed that frozen berry products marketed under the GreenWise brand are not available in the UAE market following their recall in the United States over potential contamination with E. coli bacteria.

In a statement published on its official account on the social media platform X, the ministry said the confirmation came after the relevant regulatory authorities completed investigations and verified import and distribution records across local markets.

The ministry stated that the review found no trace of the affected products in the UAE market.

The announcement followed the recall of GreenWise frozen berry products in the United States as a precautionary measure related to potential E. coli contamination.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to monitoring food products and taking the necessary measures to ensure that products available in local markets meet approved health and safety standards.
