Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed commends team for showcasing the UAE’s achievements and securing prestigious international design recognition

Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the team behind the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, commending their efforts in showcasing the country’s achievements and strengthening its global presence.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed discussed the delegation’s experiences and the insights gained through their participation in the international exhibition.

The UAE President praised all those who contributed to the success of the pavilion, highlighting their role in presenting the UAE’s inspiring development journey to a global audience and helping build connections and partnerships that support the country’s future ambitions.

Sheikh Mohamed also congratulated the team on the UAE Pavilion receiving the Gold Award at the iF Design Award 2026 in the Interior Architecture – Trade Fairs/Temporary Exhibitions category.

He wished the team continued success and excellence in representing the UAE on the international stage.

Members of the delegation expressed their pride in representing the UAE at Expo 2025 Osaka, describing the pavilion as an important platform for showcasing the nation’s values, rich heritage and ambitions to strengthen its position as a global hub for innovation, creativity and future-focused development.

The pavilion was designed under the supervision of Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects.

Inspired by the theme “Earth to Ether”, the pavilion reflected the concept of progress as a continuous human journey that connects cultural heritage and knowledge with scientific discovery and future aspirations.

Drawing inspiration from the UAE’s iconic date palm, the design reimagined the traditional Emirati arish palm-frond house through a contemporary architectural vision that blended the country’s cultural roots with its aspirations for the future while incorporating principles of traditional Emirati architecture.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; and Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with a number of officials, citizens and guests.
