Temperatures expected to reach 46°C inland, with convective clouds likely to develop over eastern areas
Abu Dhabi: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast partly cloudy weather across the UAE on Sunday, with the possibility of convective cloud formation over eastern areas during the afternoon.
According to the NCM, the country is being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the east, accompanied by an extension of an upper-air low-pressure system.
Humidity levels are expected to increase during the night and into Monday morning over some coastal areas. Winds will be light to moderate, becoming fresh at times.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach 39°C to 44°C in coastal and island areas, 41°C to 46°C inland, and 30°C to 36°C in mountainous regions.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 29°C and 34°C in coastal areas, 26°C and 31°C inland, and 23°C and 28°C in the mountains.
Relative humidity is forecast to reach 65 to 85 per cent in coastal and mountainous areas and 50 to 70 per cent inland.
Winds will be southeasterly to north-easterly at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, reaching up to 30 km/h in coastal areas and 35 km/h inland and over the mountains.
The sea will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Four-day outlook
The NCM forecasts generally fair to partly cloudy weather over the coming days, with cloud development possible over eastern and southern areas on Monday.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, becoming fresh at times, while the sea will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. By Thursday, humid conditions are expected during the night and early morning over some coastal and inland areas, with the sea becoming slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
