The NCM forecasts mist forming over coastal and internal areas by tonight and Thursday morning, as low-40s temperatures continue across UAE

Dubai: Temperatures may feel warmer than they actually are today, thanks to building humidity across the UAE.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be fair in general, with clouds appearing eastward.

    High temperatures, higher humidity

Relative humidity (RH) is set to increase by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. The RH is peaking at 90% in coastal, internal and mountainous regions of the UAE, according to the NCM. With higher humidity, the weather is expected to feel four degrees higher than it actually is, today.

Temperatures are holding steady in the low-40s across the UAE.

According to the NCM, coastal and island regions will experience highs between 38°C and 42°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 41°C to 45°C today.

Dubai and Sharjah will reach 41°C today, while Abu Dhabi and Ajman will see a high of 40°C. Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah will experience slightly higher temperatures, at 43°C and 42°C respectively, while Fujairah will peak at 35°C.

    Moderate sea conditions

The NCM forecasts light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 30km/h.

Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain tranquil, with gentle waves reaching up to two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:
