UAE weather forecast: Fog and mist warning as humidity climbs and temperatures reach mid-40s

Dubai: Prepare for foggy mornings in the coming week, starting today, as temperatures remain high and humidity climbs.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will be fair to partly cloudy at times, with a probability of some convective cloud formation eastward by afternoon that may be associated with rainfall.

The NCM also forecasts humidity by night and Tuesday morning over some western coastal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. The authorities urge motorists to be cautious when driving in the early morning hours, as you may face reduced visibility in such conditions.

Mid-40 temperatures

Temperatures remain high today, across the UAE.

The NCM forecasts coastal and island regions to experience highs between 40°C and 45°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 44°C to 49°C.

Abu Dhabi will peak at 44°C today, while Dubai will reach 43°C. Sharjah and Ajman are seeing highs of 42°C, while Fujairah will be slightly cooler at 35°C. Al Ain and Liwa will experience the highest temperatures in the country, at 47°C and 48°C respectively.

Calm seas ahead

You can expect light to moderate winds, freshening at times, today, as well as calm seas. The NCM expects slight sea conditions, with gentle waves, reaching heights of two feet on-shore and three feet off-shore.
