Temperatures hold steady from 38°C in Ajman to 43°C in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah today, with winds picking up to 40km/h and moderate seas expected on Saturday

Dubai: Heading into the weekend, you can expect partly cloudy skies, fair weather, and calm seas across the UAE – the ideal conditions for evening beach visits.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with some clouds appearing eastward. Relative humidity is peaking at 75% in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which means there is a high possibility of fog or mist formation by night and Saturday morning over some coastal areas.

    Warm weather ahead

The mercury is holding steady in the low-40s across the UAE today.

According to the NCM, coastal and island regions will experience highs between 39°C and 44°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 43°C to 47°C.

Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah will reach 43°C today, while Sharjah will see a high of 41°C. Dubai and Umm Al Quwain will reach 40°C, Ajman 38°C, and Fujairah 35°C.

    Calm sea conditions

The NCM forecasts light to moderate winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 30km/h in coastal and internal regions.

Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm today. The NCM forecasts slight sea conditions, with gentle waves reaching heights of two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore.

    Weekend outlook

According to the NCM, warm temperatures and high humidity levels will persist over the weekend, with the wind picking up speed to 40km/h tomorrow and causing slight to moderate sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. You can also expect to see fog in the early hours of the morning, so be careful if you’re driving, as visibility may be impacted.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:
