NCM says eastern and southern regions could see afternoon rainfall, while winds freshen and temperatures remain in the mid-40s.

Dubai: Temperatures are holding steady in the mid-40s across the UAE today, as the NCM forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today.

The authorities expect convective cloud formation by this afternoon, over some eastern and southern areas, associated with a chance of rainfall. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds are also expected to freshen at times, reaching up to 40km/h inland, and causing blowing dust and sand.

    Temperatures stay high

The NCM forecasts temperatures in coastal and island areas to range between 42°C to 47°C, while internal areas will range between 45°C to 49°C.

Abu Dhabi will see a peak of 46°C today, while Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah are seeing highs of 45°C. Dubai will have a slightly lower peak temperature of 44°C.

    Sea conditions

To cool off, heading to the beach this evening may be a good idea. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, according to the NCM. Enjoy generally calm waters, as waves reach heights of two feet on-shore and three feet off-shore.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:
