    UAE engages 6 ballistic missiles, 9 drones on March 27

    The UAE’s ministry of defence announced that the UAE air defence systems on March 27, 2026, engaged 6 ballistic missiles and 9 drones launched from Iran.

    Since the start of the brazen Iranian attacks, the UAE Air Defence Forces have intercepted 378 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,835 drones.

    The ministry also added that these attacks resulted in the death of 2 members of the armed forces while performing their national duty, in addition to the death of a Moroccan national civilian contractor with the armed forces.

    The attacks have also resulted in the killing of 8 civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian nationalities.

    The ministry reported that a total of 171 were also injured with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and severe.

    The injured included Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, and Tunisian nationals.

    The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it is fully prepared to address any threats and will firmly confront any attempts to undermine the nation’s security, safeguarding its sovereignty, stability, and national interests and capabilities.
