Dubai Municipality has launched the sixth season of the Farmers’ Market, one of its leading community initiatives. The market brings together Emirati farmers, agricultural project owners and members of the community in a weekly destination that celebrates local produce and agriculture. It offers an experience that combines shopping and entertainment in one place.

The market is part of Dubai Municipality’s efforts to support local agricultural production, enable farmers to showcase their products, and help them develop their farms and businesses. It also contributes to enhancing the vitality of public spaces, further boosting Dubai’s attractiveness and the wellbeing of residents and visitors.

The new season will run from November 28 to January 31, 2027, at Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej. The market will be held every Saturday and Sunday, building on the success of its fifth season, which attracted 393,467 visitors. The latest edition will offer a renewed winter experience for residents and visitors, combining the opportunity to buy fresh produce directly from farmers with interactive activities, entertainment and family experiences, further strengthening its community appeal.

The new season features a 24% increase in participating projects compared with the previous season. It will provide wider opportunities for 52 Emirati farmers and local entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products, reach new customers and highlight the quality of their produce. The event will also feature a rich programme that allows residents to support local businesses and organic agricultural products while enjoying the market’s festive atmosphere.

For the first time since its launch, Dubai Municipality will allocate 10 spaces for children under the “Young Farmers and Entrepreneurs” initiative. The spaces will allow children to display and sell their products, encouraging them to explore agriculture and business while developing their skills from an early age.

Mohammed Abdul Rahman Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, said: “The sixth season of the Farmers’ Market returns as a weekly community event following the remarkable success of the previous season, which established its position as a destination offering a unique community and urban experience for residents during the winter season. Our goal is to continue developing the market as a platform that empowers Emirati farmers, enables them to showcase and sell their agricultural products directly to consumers, encourages national products and highlights their diversity, in support of Dubai’s journey towards a more sustainable and self-sufficient future.”

He added: “The Farmers’ Market embodies Dubai Municipality’s commitment to developing community initiatives that enhance quality of life and wellbeing. It also provides comprehensive support for local agriculture as an important and promising strategic sector in the future of the emirate’s economy. The market promotes sustainable agricultural production by understanding the needs of local farmers, providing facilities and services that help them develop their projects, and offering wider marketing channels.”

Dubai Municipality provides various forms of support to farmers, including dedicated stalls for participants, logistical services and equipment, agricultural supplies, as well as awareness programmes, guidance workshops, training courses and consultations that help improve agricultural practices and increase production efficiency.
