Dubai: Dubai’s ONPASSIVE Metro Station will be renamed Garmin Metro Station under a 10-year naming rights agreement, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced.
RTA has granted the naming rights for the station to Garmin through AMIT Retail LLC, the sole distributor of Garmin in the UAE.
Garmin is a global brand specialising in the development and manufacture of smart devices and GPS navigation technology.
Under the agreement, the station previously known as ONPASSIVE Metro Station will carry the Garmin Metro Station name for 10 years.
RTA said the agreement reflects the continued success of the Dubai Metro Stations Naming Rights Initiative across the Red and Green Lines and its ability to attract global brands.
According to RTA, the partnership also reflects the Government of Dubai’s vision to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors and further consolidate Dubai’s position as a global destination for investment opportunities.
