    Day 29 of war: UAE air defences engage 20 ballistic missiles, 37 drones

    Air defences in the UAE have dealt with 20 ballistic missiles and 37 drones on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as the US-Israel-Iran war entered its Day 29, with no signs of abating.

    Since the start of Iran’s brazen attacks, the air defences have engaged 398 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,872 drones, the UAE Ministry of Defence said in its daily report.

    The latest incident reported by authorities in the UAE was the result of a successful missile interception in Abu Dhabi’s Kezad industrial area. Three fires broke out but were brought under control. Six people sustained minor to moderate injuries.

    The toll of injuries in the UAE now stands at 178 and deaths at 11.

    Amog the fatalities, there are two members of the Armed Forces who lost their lives while performing their national duty, in addition to the martyrdom of a Moroccan national civilian contractor with the Armed Forces, and the killing of 8 civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian nationalities.

    The injured people are of Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, and Tunisian nationalities.
