DUBAI: Dubai Police has launched a five-week traffic awareness competition through its Traffic Safety Platform, giving participants the chance to win five Esaad cards while testing their knowledge of road safety.

The Traffic Safety Platform is currently promoting the contest as the Esaad Traffic Awareness Competition, inviting the public to test their road safety knowledge for a chance to win an Esaad card.

The competition features 10 questions covering causes of accidents identified through traffic studies, including failure to maintain a safe following distance, speeding and unsafe roadside parking.

At the end of the competition, an electronic draw will select five winners. Each will receive an Esaad card, providing access to its benefits and discounts across 10 sectors.

Brigadier Salah Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director of the Esaad Card Center at the General Department of Logistics Support, said the centre’s participation reflects its commitment to social responsibility and to supporting initiatives that enhance people’s safety and quality of life.

Colonel Talal Abdullah Al Mansouri, Director of the Traffic Education Department at the General Department of Traffic, said preventing accidents begins with road users understanding the dangers associated with unsafe behaviour and following rules designed to protect everyone.

He said the competition gives members of the public an interactive way to test their knowledge and correct misconceptions about traffic regulations.

Participants can register through the Traffic Safety Platform and answer the 10 questions to qualify for the final draw. The official platform currently provides a dedicated link to participate in the competition.

The platform also provides road safety information and advice for drivers, cyclists, motorcyclists, pedestrians, guardians and heavy-vehicle users.

The public can participate by registering on the Traffic Safety Platform at https://amanroads.gov.ae/trsp/en.
