Dubai: Dubai has launched the “Dubai Future Research Complex”, named “Nad Zabeel”, with the goal of attracting 30,000 researchers and specialists.

The announcement was made by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, in a social media post.

According to the announcement, researchers and specialists will be able to use the complex’s services to develop vital future sectors connected to human life.

Sheikh Mohammed said Nad Zabeel would complement Dubai’s strategic ecosystem for institutionalising the future industry.

The complex will join the Dubai Future Foundation, Museum of the Future and Dubai Future Academy as part of an environment focused on foresight, preparedness and shaping the future.

“Life has taught me that the future is not waited for, but made,” Sheikh Mohammed said in the translated post.

He added that challenges facing nations were not caused by a lack of future developments, but by delays in preparing for and considering them.
