Sheikh Mohammed says true impact is measured by improving people’s lives, reaffirming the UAE’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian work
Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, affirmed that the UAE has always chosen to stand on the side of humanitarian action and will continue to be a source of hope and positive impact.
In a post on the social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed reflected on the meaning of genuine humanitarian service and the importance of creating meaningful impact in people’s lives.
“Life has taught me that, in the balance of humanity, presence is not measured by the volume of one’s voice, but by the depth of one’s impact. Presence is not measured by who speaks about people’s suffering, but by who alleviates it. It is not measured by being in newspaper headlines, but by being present in people’s lives,” His Highness said.
Sheikh Mohammed added: “Life has taught me that humanity does not need someone to speak on its behalf, but someone to work for it.”
He reaffirmed the UAE’s enduring humanitarian principles, saying: “Throughout its history, values, and since its founding by Zayed the humanitarian and his brothers, the UAE has chosen to be on the right side of humanitarian work, and it will remain, God willing, impactful, a maker of hope and life.”
His remarks highlight the UAE’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian initiatives and its continued efforts to support communities and individuals in need both regionally and internationally.
